Delaware City Refinery donates $218K to charities and nonprofits

Delaware City Refining Company donates $218,000 to 20 charitable and non-profit organizations from the annual charity golf fundraiser.

Former Delaware City Refining Company Plant Manager José Dominguez established the DCRC Charity Golf Fundraiser in 2015 to expand the refinery’s annual philanthropic outreach efforts to raise additional funds to help meet the growing financial needs of charitable and non-profit organizations in the state. Over the past eight years, the proceeds from the annual event enabled the refinery to contribute over $1.8 million in donations to more than 100 charitable and non-profit organizations throughout the region.

“With José Dominguez’s vision, we have developed and maintained a phenomenal funding source for non-profits in and around Delaware,” Michael Capone, general manager of Delaware City Refining Company, said. “Our contribution to our host community and the surrounding communities far exceeds what we could have imagined.
