Anchor Bar to open new franchise to Virginia

Xenith Solutions, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, is set to open a new Anchor Bar restaurant in Leesburg, Virginia, on 24 July.

The upcoming Leesburg restaurant will feature 24 beers on tap and several available in bottles or cans.

It will serve a wide range of items, including Pizza with Cup and Char Pepperoni (Buffalo’s unique pepperoni), Pizza Logs, wings and Beef on Weck.

At the new Leesburg location, Jim McGavin will serve as the general manager of Anchor Bar. McGavin has over three decades of restaurant experience.

The new restaurant will also include 45 TVs for customers to watch their favourite sports.

In 2009, the Anchor Bar Franchise & Development Company opened its first franchise outlet and now has several locations in Western New York, Texas, Maryland, Illinois, Georgia and now Virginia.

The Buffalo, New York-based restaurant chain is claimed to be the creator of the Original Buffalo Wing.

Established in 1935 by Frank and Teressa Bellissimo, this restaurant currently serves more than ten million pounds of chicken wings annually across its franchisees.
